Don’t you think social media is the best? Well!!! I personally think it’s powerful. We no longer have to wait for the news on SABC or to read newspapers to get information. It makes our lives very easy because we can access information at a low cost.
Organizations can easily get feedback from their customers. Customers can share interesting information on social networking sites like facebook, tweeter and etc. They can retweet about what they feel is informative and there’s a need that people should hear it. By them sharing information and retweeting pictures and videos of organizations, they create publicity for those companies. Opinion leaders or influencers retweet about information they think it’s interesting and therefore create publicity for brands. That’s how powerful social media is.
Social
media does not only help businesses but also helps us to keep in touch with our
colleagues, friends and families. Nowadays we can easily access information
around the world. It makes us feel connected to one another and again makes us
feel like we are closer to each other. I
mean we hear about incidents that happen abroad everyday on our timelines. How
cool is that? Social media makes us feel like china is just next door.

Social media
strengthens relationships. People no longer feel lonely when their partners are
away from them because they get to text them whenever they can. It does not
only strengthen the relationships of friends but relationships between
organizations and their customers. Organizations can easily find out what their
customers want and what they don’t want. Customers help organizations by
placing their complaints and by telling companies where they need to
improve.
THE FUTURE
OF JOURNALISM IS UNCERTAIN
Journalist
no longer publish news as fresh news but rather old ones. They publish what we
already know. We don’t only retweet or share information about what we do and
where we are but also break news on social media. Although social media gives
us all the news we need to hear, we still need journalist. Remember not all of
us are always online or are interested in social media. Journalist are still
useful but that doesn’t guarantee that their future is certain.  |

what an interesting blog you posted, I also think that social media have grown to be a platform where we get to hear about the things taking place abroad so easily with low cost, but again I think we still need journalism for us to be kept up to date with what ever is happening around the world
